FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, did not have a good way to translate customer needs into new products. Together with innovation studio Aim for the Moon, an innovation programme was created that led to a dedicated accelerator, enabling FMO customers to develop new digital services aligned with real market needs.
FMO serves customers around the world in a rapidly changing environment. To stay relevant, FMO needed to renew its services, but a structured innovation process was missing. How do you uncover customers' real challenges and translate them into concrete new products and services?
Together with innovation studio Aim for the Moon, we designed an impact-driven innovation programme for FMO. The process included mapping customers' core challenges, designing product and service innovations as solutions, and developing a first MVP.
The programme resulted in the launch of a specialised accelerator for FMO customers. Participants went through their own innovation journey, focused on developing new digital services and products that directly addressed market needs.
