Oosterwold in Abundance

A workshop in Almere Oosterwold brought together residents, farmers, government officials, and developers to explore new forms of collaboration. Protopia Studio guided the process and connected government and developers with residents' initiatives.

Amsterdam Regenerative City

Research and vision development for the City of Amsterdam focused on the city as a regenerative ecosystem. The project resulted in design principles, models, and policy proposals that will help the city transform into a regenerative society.

Food co-op Marineterrein

Protopia Studio designed a blueprint for a food cooperative based on permaculture principles. The plan includes a market garden, food forest, education hub, and cooperative market. This creates a blueprint for local area cooperatives that create ecological, social, and educational synergies.

Temple of Tara

A vision and concept study for a new retreat center in Sri Lanka, located on a former tea plantation. The Temple of Tara is a sanctuary for female empowerment, regenerative living, and intercultural connection.

Broad Prosperity Scan

In a design sprint, Protopia Studio, together with the City of Amsterdam, developed the Broad Prosperity Scan: a tool for comprehensively assessing the effects of policy proposals on ten themes of broad prosperity, both here and now and in the future.

Taralena Center

An initial design vision for a holistic center dedicated to healing, education, and community building. The Taralena Center explores how Integral Theory and regenerative principles can be translated into architectural and landscape design.

Broad Prosperity Meter

In a design sprint, Protopia Studio, in collaboration with the City of Amsterdam, developed a prototype app: the Broad Prosperity Meter. The app allows civil servants to reflect on their work and team in relation to broad prosperity through statements, thus opening up the discussion about values beyond economic growth.

Amsterdam Smart City

Research and design for a revamped Amsterdam Smart City platform. Protopia Studio conducted user research, data analysis, and developed a new proposition and platform concept.
